What It Does

The Prolecto Small Balance Write-Off is a tool within NetSuite to easily consolidate and write off open accounts receivable and Customer Deposit balances that are lower than a predetermined threshold.

Why It Matters

Especially for NetSuite organizations that capture order transactions outside of NetSuite (e.g., eCommerce), there may be financial transactions that have small open balances. The tool addresses those balances in a scalable and methodical manner.

  • Added support for client-specific filtering logic to refine the scope of target transactions to be written off.

  • Added support for dimensions when creating write-off transactions. If configured (via an app.setting), a separate write-off transaction will be created for each distinct group of dimension/segment values.
  • Implemented PRI Linked Transactions to group transactions related to each small balance write-off operation. A linked transaction is created per dimension group.
  • Added warning to alert users when attempting to initiate a new search while one is in progress.
