# Light Assembly and Quality Control in NetSuite

NetSuite’s data model supports work orders and bills of materials, but its screens were not built for the shop floor. This demonstration shows a tablet application that replaced paper for a hose assembly manufacturer.

## What This Video Covers

Marty Zigman talks with Hector Cardenas about a custom hose assembly manufacturer that moved its shop floor off paper. The backend data structure was sound; the user interface was the burden.

Using Prolecto’s license-free Extensible Client Framework, the team built a tablet experience around how technicians actually work, while keeping NetSuite’s data integrity, security and native records.
